About Heavy Lezzers
Founded in 2017 out of necessity, not ambition.
Heavy Lezzers was born from the feeling of being isolated — too queer for the metal scene, too metal for the queer scene. What started as a way to connect has grown into a collective movement of loud queers, nerds, outsiders, dreamers, and allies.
We’re proud to be loud
— and loud to be proud.
We’re done with gatekeepers.
We’re tired of fascist ideologies lurking in some corners of the scene, and of metal spaces shaped by poser attitudes dominated by cis men.
No hate to clubs — but we just want more than one kind of sanctuary.
Queers have proven time and again that we know how to party — but we’re just as good at moshing, headbanging, and showing up with force.
Some of us want to roll dice, carry a sword, and blast records with people who feel like home.
Heavy Lezzers & Allies — yes, the allies matter. This project would not exist without them.
We believe in building a space together, united by a beat that drives us all:
Rock hard. Love harder.
We stand firmly against:
- fascism
- homophobia
- transphobia
- sexism
- TERFs
- macho bullshit
- gatekeeping
- and every kind of master or king — except on our playlists
Our name says it all:
Heavy Lezzers — Cult of Heavy Metal Lesbians and Allies
To us, “Lesbian” is more than a sexual orientation. It’s a stance. An identity.
We welcome anyone who resonates with what we stand for — regardless of gender or labels.
That includes trans, non-binary, inter*, bi, pan, ace folks and more — if you’re loud, you’re with us.
We’re not here to fit in.
We’re here to carve space — on stage, in the pit, and in the heart.
